Both music and photography have a language. But how does one capture the other. That’s the task the Ottawa-based photographer Neeko Paluzzi has assumed. The result is a fascinating exhibition that opens at the Studio Sixty Six art gallery on Friday. The show is on view until Aug. 4. In this conversation with ARTSFILE, Paluzzi explains how he turned the music of Glenn Gould and J.S. Bach into photographs in the exhibition called The Goldberg Variations.

Exhibition: Matthew Hinther’s The Glebe is Overrated at Studio Sixty Six—until 06.02.19

Matthew Hinther has lived in The Glebe for 43 years, growing with the neighbourhood and developing an intimate relationship with it. Even as new developments sprouted and new businesses replaced old ones over the last four decades, Matthew insists that The Glebe has remained true to its original character.

Studio Sixty Six is having its first group exhibition of 2019 from January 11 to March 3. Titled Land and Memory, this exhibition brings together some of the gallery’s most passionate contemporary artists who share the love of landscape and the natural world.

Exhibition: Tony Fouhse’s After the Fact at Studio Sixty Six—09.21.18 to 09.28.18

On Friday September 21, Tony Fouhse’s book launch party will be hosted by Studio Sixty Six, followed by an exhibition of his photographs at the gallery until September 28. After the Fact is Mr. Fouhse’s latest photographic venture which sees him tackle a new theme featuring photographs of our city, but these works are a far cry from your run of the mill Ottawa photos. They are hauntingly cold aimed to inject fear and apprehension into the bones of your bodies.
