Artist's Insights:

There is much more clarity depicted in the upper portion of 95% Remains Unexplored. In the bottom portion we are faced with a foggy gradation of colour and murky depth, representing a body of water that describes our insignificant knowledge of the majority of our planet. This is translated though the horizon lines and mountainous shapes plunging into the gradient and watery space. In the same way that the water line divides the painting into two spaces in Dark and Storm, the same effect is created here to describe the vastness of our landscapes, our relation to it and the microscopic knowledge we have of it.
