The Atlantic Wall was a massive defensive structure that began in Norway and ran south along the coasts of Belgium and France. Built on Adolf Hitler’s orders, it covered a distance of 2,688 kilometres and formed the main part of his “Fortress Europe.”
These six bunker photographs portray structures found in the Normandy sector of the Atlantic Wall.
